Open Letter

Exploratory proposal — invitation for feedback

An Open Letter: Shaping the Next Generation of Leaders

The Missing Curriculum Institute invites professional, academic, and community leaders to explore The Innovation Forum (TIF), a proposed multidisciplinary initiative focused on helping develop the next generation of leaders.

TIF would connect experienced leaders with promising emerging scholars, trainees, young professionals, and early innovators. Through mentorship, education, collaboration, and exposure to real-world challenges, the Forum would help participants build the judgment, skills, relationships, and confidence to become future leaders in their professions and communities.

The Forum could bring together people and organizations across fields, including health and life sciences, biomedical engineering, artificial intelligence, information technology, education, sustainability, space technology, and entrepreneurship. Participants could explore meaningful ideas and help promising projects move toward research, evaluation, collaboration, funding, or implementation.

TIF is an exploratory proposal. No organizational structure, financial commitment, or formal partnership is being sought at this stage. The immediate goal is to gather candid feedback, identify needs and potential partners, and assess whether a small listening session or pilot program could help shape an effective approach to mentorship and leadership development.

Leaders and organizations are invited to help shape the concept, mentor participants, recommend emerging talent, present projects, explore partnerships, and advise on the Forum’s feasibility and potential outcomes.
